I thought you would have the Avatarium disc in your top 10 but I am somewhat surprised to see it at number one. It has really grown on me to the point where I have listened to it almost every day for the last month or so. I just can't quite decide where to rank it.

The Nomad Son disc is very good also. It will probably not crack my top 10 but it is definitely top 20.

What did you think about the new Death Angel disc? I thought it might be on your list but it looks like it didn't even crack your top 20.

I watch it every now and then when it's on Hub. I think it holds up pretty well.

That's the kind of reasoning that made it number one. I can listen to it on repeat ad infinitum. Same with Sabbath.

Same for me. Would have made top 20, but not quite top 10. Mostly because it's not their best effort. I think I prefer both their other albums, and therefore think as good as 'The Darkening' is, it could have been better. Also try a band called Stonegriff. It be good stuff

It's good, but it's a poor-man's Relentless Retribution.

1. Clutch - Earth Rocker
2. Alice In Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
3. Sodom - Epitome of Torture
4. Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is The Killer
5. Black Sabbath - 13
6. Killswitch Engage - Disarm the Descent
7. Protest The Hero - Volition
8. Death Angel - The Dream Calls For Blood
9. Hatebreed - The Divinity of Purpose
10. Sevendust - Black Out The Sun

Ironically half of these bands I didn't like and/or rarely listen to the album they released prior to this one. My 3 favorite bands right now all went through "phases" that caused me to write them off only to be blown away by their recent atonements. Funny how cyclical music can be. Earth Rocker even got me into some Clutch songs on previous cd's I didn't give much of a chance to. A true masterpiece...

With all the Deafheaven hating you would think you would have a better list.
