Just saw this thread for the first time, great review. We must be the same age, I discovered Maiden in 1984 when a friend of mine got the Powerslave record and he didn't have a record player, his mom bought him the wrong format. I recorded it onto cassette for him and listened to it while I was recording it and my music world changed forever. Thanks friend's mom!

Wish I could have gone to this but I lived 90 miles from Albuquerque where all the concerts were at the time and my parents weren't near so nice as yours, PowerMaiden.

Great story. The Powerslave show (12/21/84 at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago) was the very first indoor show I ever saw without the P's. I remember driving 30 miles to the scalper to get our tickets that we had saved all summer to get. They were $50 for 9th row center...that was a lot for a few 14 yr olds back then but we managed to do it!!

What an absolutely amazing show. Thanks for allowing me to relive my memory as well as share your awesome memory too!!

I changed my name out of shame for not being a very good neilpeartjr, i.e. I more or less stopped playing drums.
