Exactly! Look at Iron Maiden as an example. They're in the same age category and always put on a 2 hour show with tons of energy. This is just another "fuck you" to the fans from Dave himself.

Bingo. With the shit new album and Dave being wacko, a stellar live show is the only possible route they have of looking good. Goddamn it, how did they go from being the best of the Big 4 to the worst in just four fricken years?

Wow, I was considering seeing them in Madison tonight. Not anymore. I'll wait til Youthanasia 20, if it happens.

I don't necessarily mean I think they might be working smarter, but I think Dave thinks so, right or wrong. If it impacts attendance, we'll see. With these ridiculous prices and short set list, it maybe very hard to recover unless they start playing smaller venues and get the $ in line again with the proportion of entertainment.

Wow, glad I'm not going to the DC show then. I love Megadeth and I'll always go see them when the set is good but this one is very, very weak. Only 3 more songs then when I saw them open for Maiden in Raleigh this past September. And those extra three are overplayed anyways.

I'll wait for the Youthanasia tour next year.

I have 2 free tickets and a photo pass for Orlando so I'm going, but it's primiarly to see Fear Factory. I've never seen megadeth play Tornado Of Souls, which is my favorite song of theirs, so i kinda feel oblidged to stay for their set.

Don't get too excited. They dropped it tonight with no replacement. 12 song set...

Wow... not gonna lie, you guys got majorly gypped.

Was tempted to see this on Wednesday, but I won't bother until Megadeth takes a good break and can play an actual headline set.

Yeah, with them just always playing the same shit and now cutting down the set to be ridiculously short I don't need to see Megadeth again for a long while.

I was at the Madison show last night and I can't begin to describe how disappointed I am. I spent $43 on a ticket and drove 5+ hours for this show (it's a long story why I drove that far) for an hour long performance (9:45 - 10:45) of only 12 songs as a HEADLINER with only 2 opening bands! I was hoping they'd at least play for an hour and a half with 17 or so songs, but I guess that's too much to expect of Dave these days. They also had Tornado of Souls listed on the set (see comments http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/megade...-73c4ce61.html) but didn't even play that for some reason. Not to mention the sound quality was horrible - all bass and drums, hardly any guitars and vocals. The down-tuning didn't help either, which was extremely noticeable during Trust and Symphony. All of this was made even more ridiculous considering the fact that the other 2 bands sounded just fine.

Fear Factory was amazing and almost worth the trip themselves, though they also played a short set (unfortunately age has also taken some toll on his vocal range as he could not hit some of the higher notes, ex. Archetype)

1. The Industrialist
2. Shock
3. Edgecrusher
4. Damaged
5. Archetype
6. What Will Become?
7. Demanufacture
8. Replica

Nonpoint was good too, though I don't know any of their songs besides That Day and Bullet with a Name.
