I'm sure there have to be some consistencies.

They'll all be as boring as each other, if that helps? Oh, and it'll be long. Those're the only consistencies I've ever noticed, at least.

The best you can probably hope for, in terms of predicting what they'll play, is that perhaps some songs, like Alive and Jeremy, are slightly more likely than others.

Yeah I was checking out setlist and they're very long. I'm pretty sure it's an evening with type situation. At least I didn't pay for my ticket...

Nope, they just do 2 and a half to 3 hours every night headlining. Same deal as Bruce Springsteen - they just play a proper long headlining set and change it up every night playing whatever they want to play. I've seen setlists featuring literally none of their hits before. Despite their fame, their fanbase is aware of most of their catalog so they get away with it, too.

More bands should be like that, honestly.

I would LOVE it if bands with solid catalogues, like Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Overkill, Testament, etc. did that.

Never going to happen though.

At least Priest did that one tour where they played a load of rare stuff.

It's nice to see Soundgarden are doing it now. The shows aren't as long, but they're pulling all kinds of things out in the sets.

Unfortunately this was kind of true. They played almost 3.5 hours but played a lot of boring songs. Not the best show

Has anyone here seen Monster Magnet live before? Are they worth paying $30 to see? I would normally go in a heartbeat, but it looks like their setlists on this tour are only 11 songs long, I haven't heard anything about them being a particularly badass live band and I don't have a ton of cash to spare.

I just saw them a couple weeks ago and they were way better than I expected. That being said, I don't know if I'd pay $30 in a tight on cash situation. The set is still ~75 minutes despite only being 11 songs.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm probably gonna skip this one. Too many errands at home to take care of, plenty of homework that I can knock out and lots of writing to be done on my Brocas Helm article.
