I noticed that a few months back, for a while those codes weren't even working and you'd have to get a new one to get through the system.

I'm with the "total ticket price" is what matters. A $30 ticket with a $15 service charge is the same as a $44 ticket with a $1 service charge.

Now, that being said, when it's a tour I really want to see I usually am fairly price insensitive. When it's a band i've seen 5-6 times, or a band i've never seen before or haven't in a long time that is playing a support slot on a package tour with 8 other bands I don't like, that's where price (as well as venue and date/day of the week) plays a factor.

I think overall price is important, but I can't stand over the top fees. If say a ticket was $5 with a $5 service fee, its only $10 so I would pay it easily. But if a ticket was $20 with a $15 service fee, I would be kinda pissed. its still only $35 which isnt too bad but they almost doubled the price just because of fees! I try to support venues that don't try to scam customers (aka non Live Nation/Ticketmaser venues) unless a band I really want to see is playing a Live Nation venue. I know fees are necessary at times to maintain venues and stuff, but I don't want to pay a major fee so a company can make a ton of money off me.

I've seen some things, man. And some stuff. I wouldn't recommend it.

For local shows/national shows at smaller venues, anywhere from $5 to $7 I'd consider acceptable.

For any shows where tickets are getting into the $100+ range, it should be a flat fee of 10% face value. Ticket face value is $125, the fee should be $12.50.

And this is why I love living near the box office and having the power to pay nothing for fees.

It's funny how the human brain works! Mine, at least.

If they just say it's $45 for a ticket, I'll happily shell out for it, but when they break it down and I know it's $30 for the ticket and $15 in fees, I get pissed off! Same with airline tickets, by the way.
