Only one week hence after making this statement, and I think it has finally clicked with me. What did it was, I think, listening to this album with good headphones and no distractions. It's really a beautiful piece of work, calm in places and crushing in others, working its way back and forth between the various extremes with the deftness of a band who've been doing their thing for decades.

Anyway, I'm finally fully on board with Sunbather, so there goes the fun of being the lone contrarian who still doesn't "get" the album at year end when it makes the MetalSetlists Best of 2013 list.

Fen's new album is a much better atmospheric black metal/post-rock record than Deafheaven's, in my opinion.

He released another album? I liked the first three but thought Eremita was pretty bad, I guess it's safe to say this new one isn't much different.

I prefer Sunbather, but Dustwalker is definitely an incredible record.
