Not a bad album at all. It's better than their last one, for sure.

I have. The first half of the record is excellent, but the second half is just decent and drags the album down substantially.

Lots of good stuff on there. Personally, I wasn't that impressed with VHOL or Carcass (they're good, but not great), and think I like a few such as Altar of Plagues and Anciients more than you did, but still - a damned decent list.

Honestly, though, I don't see what all the fuss over "Sunbather" is about. It's damned good, but there just isn't anything about it that rockets it into the stratosphere above other albums released this year, IMO.

M˙m needs to, just for one album, forgo their electronic bullshit and write a bunch of songs like "Sweet Impressions" off the new album, and they might have another album as good as Summer Make Good or Finally We Are No One.

EDIT: Even though the lyrics in the song are a bit reminiscent, if not a direct rip off, of GN'R's November Rain...

Snagged the new Tyr, In Solitude, and Satyricon CD's last night.

Tyr is Tyr, but with a Pantera cover. Need to listen to it some more since George Kollias is drumming on it!

In Solitude is SO FUCKING good! I can't wait to see them in a little over a week!

Satyricon is fucking surprising. REALLY FUCKING GOOD. Love the riffs on it, sounds more like Classic Rock at times, which is great.
