It was a comment on the fans and their lack of knowledge/effort. Not the band, who are excellent on CD and live.

You know what's fun, every day on Mayhem the Butcher Babies would introduce one of their songs by saying "We heard you like that dirty southern metal, so we had to play this song."

*plays song that has literally nothing to do with southern metal*

I'm fairly sure all money that band make is spent on fried chicken, to be perfectly honest.
