Sounds like fun.

I will never go to this festival until they sort out the abortion of a running order, but they're doing a pretty good job with line-ups these days after a few years where it all went a bit shit.

I'm hearing nothing but good things about Slayer's performance.

Slayer were as close to perfect as I've ever seen. Everything from the setlist, guitar tone, vocals and even the drums were so much better than the many other times I've seen them. Made my weekend finally getting to see Altar of Sacrifice/Jesus Saves

DevilDriver also dropped "Its in the Cards" that they had played a few times over the last few dates. That would have been a nice addition to an otherwise predictable set. Still awesome though

Maybe Gary & Paul aren't as drunk/stoned/uninterested as Jeff & Dave?

No problem for the recommendations!

Since I'll be the only one to ask, what did you think of Whitechapel?

As dcmetal said, no problem for the recommendations! I'll be happy to recommend any time!

Anyway what would be the best/most liked and worst/least liked performance of the whole entire 3 days in your opinion?

Yeah weren't too bad, first time seeing them, I remember the vocals being proper raw and guitarist was awesome.

Best/Most liked -
Slayer (obvious)
Avantasia (as never seen them before)
Exodus/Death Angel/Devil Driver had shit loads of energy

Worst/least liked

Not many as I kinda respect most bands and what they do, but if I had to say a couple would probably be Fozzy (don't really get the hype and if he hadn't been a wrestler I don't think they'd have much success) and thought Gamma Bomb weren't all that

Yeah I agree with JaySadler2, Sunday was definitely the most energetic day. As for the best, Slayer, Exodus, DevilDriver, Lamb of God and Gojira were all awesome.

Kataklysm and Amorphis weren't really my thing, but to be honest I wasn't disappointed with any band I saw all weekend.

With Emperor already confirmed for next year, it's looking like it should be epic again
