This is a very controversial statement; but am I the only one who thinks vinyl is just a hype?

That and the fact it looks like if you buy CD's instead (or mostly) you aren't seen as a "troo" musicfan?

To each his own.
I basically never listen to CDs other than in my car because of the iPod, so ever since I got one I would basically rip whatever I got to my computer and then it would sit collecting dust.
I'm really amused by the fact that you can get so much sound out of a spinning piece of plastic though. A CD is the same I guess...
