He's actually right though. Wouldn't 95% of all death metal that exist be mediocre local bands?

TBDM is one of my fave death metal bands as well. Just a great, catchy band and way to get into death metal. For fucks sake their doing Warped Tour. Also their the most fun death metal band live!

Yep. When it comes to new-wave death metal, you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of bands that are as well-respected/received as Black Dahlia. I mean seriously how extreme metal bands have big followings in mainstream and underground elitist circles? This is a stupid fucking argument nonetheless, but I'd figured throw my 2 cents in anyways.

Map of Scars is their most epic song since I Will Return.

Yeah I didn't know throwing my little thing out there would cause this much uproar.

It wasn't like I was surprised by your statement knowing how you feel about them. I was just throwing my smartass-like counter-opinion smilie out there.

I like Black Dahlia and thoroughly enjoy them live, I just don't hold them that high in regard. They're not one of my favorite bands. Ritual was the first album of theirs that I got really into as a whole.

As far as their new album goes I still need to check it out. After my final tomorrow I will be checking out a lot of new albums I've yet to check out this year.

I've watched it four times now and really like it but wish they would of showed the chaos from the video shoot.

Definitely not one of their better videos. Still alright though.
