I had the same reaction seeing these guys last year at Graspop. Hearing the classic Guns songs like 'You Could Be Mine', 'It's So Easy' and the absolute epic that is 'Estranged' with this line up is actually awesome. They do the music justice, and there's a lot of energy in the show and always something to keep an eye on.

I wouldn't be too quick to pay for an album from these guys, but the live shows are worth it. Specially nowadays that Axl is behaving and getting on stage on time.

Plus, fuckin' Bumblefoot! His version of 'Don't Cry' is beautiful and he can seriously shred any of the former band members under the table.

Irony that Mustaine is a huge asshole in 2013 and Axl is pretty under the radar nowadays.

That's because Axl has grown up a bit over the years while Mustaine seems to have regressed more and more back into a child.

A new album is forthcoming.

Read more about it in... 2019.

I heard the new album was supposed to be next year. But with how slow things moved getting the last one out, 2019 seems more realistic.

well said.

Awesome setlist even with the needless solo's and jams. I'll tolerate 5 or 6 solo's and jams all day if you give me 24 f'n songs.

Exactly. Like I said in my review, the jams and solos had a purpose to them. Dizzy Reid's solo was him playing No Quarter from Zeppelin and the rest of the band joined in to play it with him. So it was pretty much just a instrumental of the song. With Axl's piano solo he played a little bit of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road from Elton John. That lasted all of two minutes then he went right into November Rain. The jams were nothing more than little two or three minute intros to the songs.

On an unrelated note, I was talking with a co-worker about this show and she told me her neighbors liked the song November Rain so much that they named their daughter that. I think that's pretty cool.

Not for the poor little girl who has to walk around being called November Rain it's not.
