Mastodon -- Cologne, Germany -- May 31st, 2013

First date of Mastodon's summer, it doesn't look like a headliner set, and they do still seem to be playing a lot from The Hunter, but bring backing songs like Oblivion & The Last Baron, it's hard to complain. Great set, but the lack of anything from Remission and only one track from Blood Mountain is a shame.

Black Tongue
Hand of Stone
Dry Bone Valley
Megalodon
The Sparrow
Stargasm
Bedazzled Fingernails
All the Heavy Lifting
Oblivion (First time live since 2010)
Curl of the Burl
Aqua Dementia
Blood and Thunder
The Hunter
Encore:
The Last Baron (First time live since 2010)

I'd love just about any Mastodon setlist.

There is no room to complain about that setlist, it is damn good!

I'll still find room to complain about that setlist. It's not terrible, but still too much Hunter for me when I couldn't get into that album. Oblivion is a nice addition though. Nothing will top the sets they were playing on their spring 2010 tour for me though...sadly.

It's a great set, just cutting a few Hunter tracks out for maybe MOTFA and anything else off BM would make it a hell of a lot better

I'd take out All the Heavy Lifting for March Of The Fire Ants, and put that in a different spot. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

Hopefully this isn't too similar to their setlist at Mayhem Fest. 8 tracks from The Hunter is a bit much, and they gotta play at least one song off Remission to please me. Although it is cool they're playing Hand Of Stone, hopefully that sticks for Mayhem Fest.

What sucks is their Mayhem set will be a few songs shorter than this.

It will likely be 7-8 songs at Mayhem

I think this is likely.

1)Black Tongue
2)Deviations (or maybe The Sparrow?)
3)Dry Bone Valley
4)Aqua Dementia
5)Curl Of the Burl
6)Oblivion
7)Colony Of Birchmen
8)Blood And Thunder
