I'm with you on that, Korine brilliantly gets his point across about the excess of the party culture in the United States and he was 100% aware when he put Disney Channel starlets in the movie that was going to hook mainstream audiences and disgust a majority of them with the content of the movie. The more I think about it, the more I like it and I'm really intrigued to watch it again when it comes out on DVD and form a more solid opinion on it.

I don't know, it was too predictable and it felt forced at times. Still liked the movie regardless.

Yeah exactly, any film that provokes such great amount of thought is awesome in my books.

This sadly was a complete dud and did not live up to my level of expectations at all. Nowhere near how great the book was as well.

See I fucking loved it! Odds are it will be within my top three movies to come out this year.

I don't think i'll bother with Lords of Salem. I can't enjoy Rob Zombie's movies at all, not even The Devil's Rejects.

Yeah Devil's Rejects was the only one of his movies I even mildly enjoyed, House of 1000 Corpses is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm heard nothing but terrible things about Lords of Salem so I'll be steering clear.

Meanwhile I saw Pain & Gain last night and it was actually really good. One of the most absurdly entertaining movies I've seen in the past few years. It's not at all the type of movie you would expect Michael Bay to make. It's very much story and character-driven movie that's extremely funny at times and features a trio of great performances from Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie as the whacked-out, bodybuilding leads as well as solid turns from the supporting cast including Tony Shaloub, Ed Harris and Rebel Wilson. A great piece of satire about achieving the American dream under any means necessary.

A DVDRip of Lords of Salem is already out online.

The Maniac remake is also finally out and I've heard great things about that one.
