86. Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare

1. Welcome To My Nightmare
2. Devil's Food
3. The Black Widow
4. Some Folks
5. Only Women Bleed
6. Department Of Youth
7. Cold Ethyl
8. Years Ago
9. Steven
10. The Awakening
11. Escape

The first of 2 Alice albums rears it's 38 year old head. I've only seen Alice once, but he ended up opening with my favorite track from this album, so I was supremely happy. The guy still has it at 65 years old. Seeing him again this summer, can't wait.

Favorite track: The Black Widow

85. Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer

1. Computer God
2. After All (The Dead)
3. TV Crimes
4. Letters From Earth
5. Master Of Insanity
6. Time Machine
7. Sins of the Father
8. Too Late
9. I
10. Buried Alive

No, you're not dreaming, I love this album. It's one of 3 Sabbath albums to appear on my list and the only Dio era one. Production & tone wise, this is probably my favorite Sabbath album. Tony sounds downright fucking evil.

Great choice, but this album is about 75-80 spots too low :P

One more Alice Cooper album appears in my list. It's not Hey Stoopid and it's somewhere in the top 20.

84. Extreme - Extreme II: Pornograffiti

1. Decadence Dance
2. Lil' Jack Horny
3. When I'm President
4. Get The Funk Out
5. More Than Words
6. Money (In God We Trust)
7. It's (A Monster)
8. Pornograffiti
9. When I First Kissed You
10. Suzi (Wants Her All Day What?)
11. Flight Of The Wounded Bumblebee/He-Man Woman Hater
12. Song For Love
13. Hole Hearted

This, IMO, is the standard for upbeat & funky rock n roll. I am a fan of the majority of Extreme's work and this album is my favorite of theirs.

83. Ratt - Detonator

1. Intro To Shame/War In D
2. Shame Shame Shame
3. Lovin' You's A Dirty Job
4. Scratch That Itch
5. One Step Away
6. Hard Time
7. Heads I Win, Tails You Lose
8. All Or Nothing
9. Can't Wait On Love
10. Givin' Yourself Away
11. Top Secret

I enjoyed listening to this album after a quite lackluster Reach For The Sky. This album was less polished and saw a return (albeit, very brief, before going on hiatus until 1997) to a more raw hard bluesy rock sound more reminiscent of Invasion Of Your Privacy. Ratt is one of those bands that got lumped in with the term "hair metal". Well, show me a popular hard rock band from the 80s that didn't have long hair. These guys along with Dokken, Cinderella & Tesla all played hard rock music with a bluesy twist but because they all in one way or another fit the 80s image, they all get lumped into the "hair" group. But I digress. Great album with a screamin' Soldano SLO100 from Warren DeMartini.

Favorite track: Shame Shame Shame

Yes, dude! Such a solid album. I don't care much for Master of Insanity or Too Late, but other than those two songs Dehumanizer is as good as anything Iommi and crew have done!
