First post updated with recap of #100 - #11. Will start my top 10 soon because I might write a lot about each album.

blink-182 - Enema Of The State

Full Album

This is the Black Album of pop punk. It was a monster when it came out, if only for the few songs that got insanely popular on radio, but the whole album is filled with 100% perfect pop punk. Growing up, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket was one of the albums that turned music into an obsession with me, but in the last few years this album overtook TOYPAJ as my favorite blink-182 album. Each song is memorable and is a blast to sing along to. Mark and Tom sound their best on this album - especially Tom, considering where he's at nowadays. There are no filler songs on this album and it's blink's best album by far. Get dat pop punk, son.

Great list, but Dude Ranch is OBVIOUSLY Blink's best album (and an all-time top 5 pop-punk album).

Ben Folds - Rockin' The Suburbs

Annie Waits
Zak and Sara
Still Fighting It
Gone
Fred Jones Part 2
The Ascent Of Stan
Losing Lisa
Carrying Cathy
Not The Same
Rockin' The Suburbs
Fired
The Luckiest

This is the most important album to me in my life. This is the first album I ever obsessed over and it was the greatest thing I'd ever heard up until that point in my life. I think this was the first album I heard that I considered all the tracks other than just the radio hits. It was also the first I heard where I could appreciate the song-writing ability of the performer instead of just "oh, it sounds good!" You have your continuation of Reinhold Messner-era Ben Folds Five with sort of slower and semi-progressive/experimental tracks like "The Ascent Of Stan" and "Still Fighting It", the goofy story-driven up-tempo songs with "Zak and Sara" and the title track, and then you've got every girl's favorite song rounding out the album But there's jazz, blues, pop, rock; just a multitude of sounds that are combined perfectly here. This is the album that solidified my love for Ben Folds and the belief that he's one of the greatest storytellers in music.

Iron Maiden - Powerslave

Full Album

I fully believe that this is the greatest heavy metal album ever recorded. It's as heavy as anything out there, riff and solo-driven, amazing vocals, amazing songs, amazing atmosphere...it just has everything. It's enough of the heavy metal sound from before and just enough of progression and memorable tricks to make it stand out. If someone asked me "What song best exemplifies heavy metal?" well...I'd show them Ace of Spades by Motorhead. But after that, I'd pick any of the songs here. I don't know of any metal fan that doesn't know all the words to Aces High. Rime Of The Ancient Mariner is the definition of an epic in music and is coupled with the title track right before, which just so happens to be one of the greatest heavy metal songs ever written. It's just really hard to talk about individual songs on this album when they're all so fucking perfect. Needless to say, everyone needs this album. Twice.

New Found Glory - Sticks And Stones

Understatement
My Friends Over You
Sonny
Something I Call Personality
Head On Collision
It's Been A Summer (with tenchi!)
Forget My Name
Never Give Up
The Great Houdini
Singled Out
Belated
The Story So Far

Do you like The Wonder Years? The Story So Far? Any of these new melodic hardcore/pop punk/easycore bands that are awesome and making serious waves in the music industry right now? They all owe their existence to New Found Glory and specifically this album. The best example of what can happen when you combine the pop punk sound of Green Day and blink-182 with the hardcore styles of bands like The Descendents, Kid Dynamite and others. The result was pop punk with an edge. They're love songs disguised as moshable hardcore songs. The formula has been aped from this album so much since it came out, but no one can touch the original. My favorite pop punk album by far.

Tally Hall - Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum

Good Day
Greener
Welcome To Tally Hall
Taken For A Ride
The Bidding
Be Born
Banana Man
Just Apathy
Spring And A Storm
Two Wuv
Haiku
The Whole World And You
The Ruler Of Everything

This was the first album I ever heard that was a 10/10, A+ 100% perfect album to me. It's the catchiest pop rock album I've ever heard, but each song has its own identity and it just has brilliant songwriting all over it. In fact, Good Day won a John Lennon songwriting award. There are about as many styles on here as there are different song subjects. You've got your typical "Introduce The Band" type song that's just as much hip-hop as it is pop rock with "Welcome To Tally Hall", or the marching-band brass party section of "The Whole World And You." Or maybe the fast-paced song about stalking the Olsen Twins with "Two Wuv" or an island-jam complete with bongo's about someone who gives out banana's. Yeah. But each song is unique and memorable and is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

Also: please watch the video for Two Wuv. It's 10 minutes long but is my favorite music video ever.
