Pig Destroyer - Prowler In The Yard

Full Album

Maybe the best grind record ever released. Completely dark and unrelenting and undoubtedly heavy despite having no bass player. I also think PxDx has some of the best lyrics in all of music: really disturbing and bleak. It just adds to the overall greatness of the album.

The Strokes - Room On Fire

Reptilia
12:51
The End Has No End

Along with The Hives, The Strokes were my other go-to band for garage rock in junior high. This album had a bit more of a laid-back feel to it but was every bit as good as their debut album. Another album I was stupidly obsessed with when it first came out.

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Full Album

I get it when people say the prefer Dio-Sabbath over Ozzy-Sabbath. This is one of the best pure heavy metal albums ever made. It hits every necessary checkmark: amazing riffs? amazing vocalist? amazing everything? Got it. This, to me, solidifies Dio and Iommi as infallible metal gods.

Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side

Imaginations From The Other Side
The Script For My Requiem
Bright Eyes

Where my Imagination bros at? My favorite Blind Guardian album by a mile. Great mix of power metal soaring vocals and melodies mixed with BG's usualy pounding drums and crunchy riffing. My favorite power metal album!

Suicidal Tendencies - Prime Cuts

You Can't Bring Me Down
Go Skate (Possessed To Skate '97)
How Will I Laugh Tomorrow

Suicidal's first album and this compilation are pretty much all you need from the godfather's of crossover. Just listening to these songs makes me want to do a kickflip into a moshpit. Classic band that everyone should know and love.

I love this album, but the thrash fan in me likes Tales from the Twilight World better. This album is definitely way more epic though, and Hansi sounds so badass on the entire record.
