DO IT! I love thrash and would love to see a top 100 list that is mostly thrash!

Death - Symbolic

Symbolic
1000 Eyes
Crystal Mountain

What an absolute beast of an album this is. It's awesome to go back and listen to Symbolic when I forget that progressive death metal actually remembered the "death metal" part in its name. Crystal Mountain is nothing short of one of heavy metal's great songs and the performances all-around here are just fantastic!

Sleep - Dopesmoker

Full Album

There is no other stoner/doom metal besides Sleep. Dopesmoker is an hour-plus of a slow and gradually building journey that ultimately is one of the greatest musical payoffs in music history. I don't even smoke weed and I still crank this album up often. No other long-form, stoner/doom drone album/song even comes CLOSE.

Bathory - Blood Fire Death

A Fine Day To Die
Pace 'Till Death
Blood Fire Death

This album put an amazing spin on your typical black metal release and Quorthon single-handedly changed metal forever - again. Perfect mix of black metal, viking metal and some good old-fashioned rocking out, Blood Fire Death is an amazing record and I never get tired of it. Hail Quorthon!

That is an epic, but I think this is just as epic.

Well I kind of did the same thing. I pretty much only listened to Misfits, Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys and Crass for the longest time. My friend had shown me the Black Album and I thought it was lame, so I compared all metal to that. I randomly discovered Napalm Death and Deicide and everything pretty much went downhill from there. I didnt get into Metallica, Slayer and Maiden until later on.

Deströyer 666 - Unchain The Wolves

Australian and Anti-Christ
Six Curses From A Spiritual Wasteland
Unchain The Wolves

D666 are masters at what they do. Seemlessly blending black and thrash metal with speed metal tinges and an overall punk as fuck attitude, they just know how to rip in a song. This album will break your neck, as its broken mine a million times!

I almost saw them one time. I literally drove to the venue, was walking up to the door to see them and I got a phone call and had to rush off to an emergency with a friend.
