Yeah Swaggers character is being pushed as like a racist almost white supremacy guy.
If WWE really wanted edgy they'd make him a skinhead! That'd be entertaining!

It surprises me how little complaints there are over the WWE's racial story lines. I think they went a little too far with that Muhammad Hassan character a few years ago.

Muhammad Hassan had potential. The promos he was being built with were showing signs of nuclear heat. Then he got in the ring and was totally underwhelming in an era where you had to have talent to back it up. I knew the character was done when his first match at a PPV was against...Jerry Lawler? He could've easily been thrown in against a Jericho or a HBK, or even into the Elimination Chamber at that show. That was some lost potential there.

He was a total joke by Wrestlemania that year and just when he started getting a little more serious the angle was dropped.

The angle they did with Muhammad Hassan wasn't just dropped for no reason at all. This is the reason why:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTugY2fYMv4 This aired the same day of the terroist bombing of London in 2005. UPN got mad at the WWE over this and told them to either drop the character or they wouldn't air Smackdown anymore. So they ended the character at The Great American Bash, which was from here and I attended, when the Undertaker powerbomed Hassan through the entrance ramp and to the floor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBHscKfFlOk It wasn't a case of Hassan not being skilled enough in the ring or anything like that. The guy was pretty young then and was no doubt still learning. The beatdown happening the same day as those attacks just caused too much controversy and the WWE had to end Hassan's character because of it. It's a shame to because that guy had the potential to be one of the greatest heels ever. They were doing great with the character until the attack on London caused everything to go downhill for him.

Cena Vs Punk was solid. Seriously not even a PPV match and it was far superior match to any Rock match since his return. A fucking piledriver! Cena/Rock II will be trash though
