Night two in Toronto. Again, I didn't go but my wife did. She was much happier with this set than the previous nights, even though it's almost the same. (You Want to) Make a Memory and I'll Be There For You are two of the maybe six songs I don't mind by them so I'd have to agree. She said the band seemed to be enjoying themselves a bit more at this show. And the crowd was dead again during all the new songs.

How were the new songs live? On the album they're fucking dreadful. All of them. I really can't find a good song on it.

She didn't really say anything about them other than they played a couple too many and that the crowd was not into them, at all.

I'll agree that the Because We Can song is probably one of the worst songs he's ever put out. And it'll probably be the one that lasts in their set after this tour. The other four or five I've heard have just sounded like any other Bon Jovi song since the Have a Nice Day album.

That's generous. I mean, there are better songs on it than Because We Can, but not by much. I'm on track 10 and have hated every one.

I'm so sick of this jangly guitar sound they've settled into.

Yeah, the country-rock Americana thing isn't that great.

I'm not a fan, really, but the last album I enjoyed was Bounce. There were too many ballads on that album but the rock songs were pretty good. And they haven't played anything from that album in the last ten to fifteen shows my wife has seen in the last seven years.

I loved Bounce. I really wish they'd play more from it. Actually, I just wish they'd be a rock band again.

No argument. But the tours since the Circle have been a little better. Did you see the tour for Lost Highway? That was bad.
