So, the setlist is not the original setlist, what's to clarify about the setlist?
True, but it just sounded to me like they were supposed to match. When they didn't, I just wanted to make sure his set was right, which I now see is the case.

Sorry dude, I tried to troll you a bit with the overuse of the word setlist. I don't even like Meshuggah.

Hahaha...OK, I was wondering why someone had issue with what I said. Well played.

Here is a pic of the setlist from setlist.fm if anyone wants further confirmation: http://s3.postimage.org/liw4n5jxf/setlist.jpg

Catch 33 was Mind's Mirrors > In Death - Is Life > In Death - Is Death.
I'm pretty sure the numbers on the right are the guitar effect bank settings, but does anybody have any idea what the numbers on the left are?

There also seems to be a discussion going on Metalsucks regarding this as well.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer posted there either. If anyone can shed any light on it that would be great.

Koloss is probably not the best starting point (though it seems to have worked for Ravenheart, despite his resistance to this type of music, but lest I digress...). You need to check out Nothing. DEI and Chaosphere are good as well, but if Nothing or obZen don't do it for you, then it's not likely the others will. Catch 33 isn't bad, but it's not most Meshfans' favorite.

Bottom line, just stick with it. Meshuggah are amazing.

I think if you started with an album like Destroy, Erase, Improve and really loved it you may be a little off-put by some of their later stuff. That's what happened to me. I like their later stuff well enough but I'm one of those old assholes who stand at the back of the venue with their arms crossed and say stuff like, "they lost it after D,E,I," or "they should go back to their old style".

I'd say the best place to start would be to see them live because they're most incredible then.
