Probably means they're just hanging around drinking beer as they don't need to hook back up with Clutch again until the 18th I've never seen a musician drunk more often than I have Ben Ward.

No.... it probably means they are playing another show. Most bands that come to SXSW play multiple shows - usually one official showcase and one or more unofficial parties. It's not unheard of for some artists to play 5+ times at SXSW.

I'm sure they'll be drinking beer that day too.

For example, here's Mondo Generator's schedule:

03/12/13 Metal BBQ @ La Barbecue Austin TX
03/13/13 SXSW Austin TX
03/14/13 Tone Deaf Touring Spillover @ Korova San Antonio TX w/Today Is The Day, Black Tusk
03/15/13 Tone Deaf Touring Showcase @ Red 7 Austin TX w/Orange Goblin, Today Is The Day, Young Widows, KEN Mode, The Gates of Slumber
03/16/13 SXSW Austin TX
03/17/13 Spillover Fest @ Sandbar Cantina Dallas TX w/Today Is The Day, Young Widows, Black Tusk

I read this that they are playing at least 4 shows, 2 of which are already announced.

Cool that Orange Goblin gets 80 minutes.

Also, Full of Hell on that BV bill Saturday at North Door. Anyone know them?

Oh, and Black Breath posted at some point that they were going to announce a SXSW show. Hope it's Saturday night.

I think the best time I had at SXSW was my 4th or 5th time, when I went with bands and had zero access to anything. All the bands on Tee Pee stayed in one house, and shit got wild. We'd go to the shows during the day and then come back to the house and absolutely fucking rage. There were tents in the backyard, we broke into this garage and took a bunch of bikes to ride all over town, we had an absolute mountain of Tecate cans. We had a week-long joke about the song "Spoonman" that's hard to explain but was pretty great where any of us would pick up a guitar, start singing any song, and it would devolve into "Spoonman." SPOONMAN

Then later that summer I saw Soundgarden twice and both times they played "Spoonman" I couldn't keep it together
