Same in London. They're playing the 1,200 capacity place they played after winning Eurovision. I don't think they'll sell it out, but it'll be a good crowd.
Must be a European thing since Gwar doesn't play there often...

Thank Christ.

There's been a gap between Lordi's fifth and sixth albums, and a lack of touring, because of line-up problems. They fired a drummer, got a replacement, he died suddenly (bizarre gardening accident, presumably), keyboard player left, etc.

Hence no touring or albums since 2010. Last year was their 20th anniversary, and was going to be a big year, but because of the above it didn't happen. It's all kind of happening this year instead. New album in March, European tour, festivals, then maybe a US tour.

They've been around for 20 years? I thought they started around 2005 or whatever when they won that song contest. Weird.

Yeah, been around 20 years but as their first album wasn't actually released, their commercial debut is only 10 years old. They won Eurovision with a song from their 3rd album.

Their proper first album has now been released as part of a compilation called 'Scarchives'.

I'll be honest. I thought the same thing. But that does explain why they didn't know about GWAR.
