Can anyone explain the new album title to me? Does it have some sort of meaning? I don't get it. It seems kind of ridiculous, especially for a band like Alice in Chains.

I'm sure they have their reasons for calling it that. No way for us to know yet, so why judge it?

Because anyone can judge anything, that's why, as long as you keep in mind that you're judging something only given the information you have, but with that in mind, there's nothing wrong with judging a silly album title on its own because it's silly.

Part of judging something is (should be) first deciding whether you have enough information to make a judgement.

Example, AiC are usually a pretty thoughtful band and their stuff is called what it's called for a reason. We don't know what that reason is, so I agree with Hair Metal Guy (can't remember exact name because he changed it, can't be bothered to scroll and look), we don't yet have enough information to judge whether or not it's a silly title.

Rob Zombie on the other hand doesn't write many songs with meaning, he just writes songs about horror-related stuff that he thinks sounds cool. We therefore do have enough information to judge his silly new album title.

Megadeth could go either way. It might mean something, it might just be a modern phrase Dave thinks sounds cool.

I disagree with this, mainly because I believe what was being judged was the title itself, not the potential quality of the music because of the title. Say the album comes out and the music is awesome, to me that doesn't make the title of the album any more or less silly. Same thing if the music on the album sucks. The album would be shitty and the title would be shitty. Mutually exclusive.
