Agreed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way The Legacy sounds. It sounds a hell of a lot better than all most 'modern' metal albums.

I'm probably just old, but I think mastering on CDs was better 25 years ago than it is now. Everything is turned up way too loud, just pop in a CD from the '80s against a CD made in the last 10 years and it's very noticeable. I would rather turn the volume up myself than have it already turned up for me.

I was at this show as well, was on the rail right in front of Eric's mic, so a little down from the OP. Thoroughly enjoyed the show, though being where I was I couldn't hear the guitar on the other side of the stage at all. Alex's solos were non-existent. Luckily I was a bit down from all the crowd surfers, but yeah that shit got out of control during Testament.

Small note...Overkill did not play Infectious as that set list indicates. Must have been short on time. Flotsam and Jetsam played longer than I thought they would, so maybe that is why Infectious was cut. I enjoyed seeing F and J having been a big fan of the first two records all of those years ago. If anyone is interested this is what they played:

This. I mean I find it annoying sometimes, but I wouldn't have metal shows any other way. I only think it's dumb when you're not very close to the stage. It just adds to a higher chance of injury. Or when fat people do it.

I saw that Infectious was on other show sets, but someone else who was there said they didn't play it, and that seems to coincide w/ my scribbled notes, but I was a bit intoxicated at the time and may have listened to too much Horroscope before the show, so I have to say that I think they did not play it. overkill played from 8:20- 9:05, so I dunno if anyone wants to do the calculations on song times.
