I have been waiting for one of these tours to swing up to Canada but it hasn't seemed to happen yet. Does anyone know if Down has played here before or if they have issues crossing into Canada?

They also opened for Heaven & Hell on their first ever tour in 2007, though Phil got sick and they cancelled a few dates (including the one in Regina, which I attended).

And yeah, I saw them in Vancouver in '09 and they were seriously awesome. I was really expecting them to have some Canadian dates by now. Hopefully they'll come here on this touring cycle at some point.

Alright the tour's announced so I guess I can let everyone know what's up. Anselmo really wants to tour with Slough Feg believe it or not. Problem is that the Feg dudes have full time jobs and for the guarantees that Down's booking agent were offering, they couldn't take the tour. Anselmo and Pat Bruders invited the whole band out to their SF show so they could meet and talk tour and whatnot. That night happened to be on the last day of initial tracking for the next Feg record. Scalzi got sick with a flu that weekend, and didn't end up going to the show (I know this because I gave the guy a ride home and advised him to get a good night's sleep instead of staying out haha). Everyone else met with the Down dudes though, I don't know any more beyond that.

This band is definitely performing in Austin at the Housecore Horror Film Festival, but I guess that's probably a given.
