New Satyricon album due in September

http://www.bravewords.com/news/197829

"According to leader Satyr, the music will greatly differ from what the group has released in the two previous decades."

Interesting. I'm one of the few who actually enjoys their later material, although the last album I felt was considerably weak.

I listened to the new Hatebreed in it's entirety yesterday. Need to give it a couple more listens before I accurately grade it. However, I didn't think it was anything great. The first song they streamed 'Put It To The Torch', is by far the best tune. There's some good tracks, and it's definately better than their last album. Hope to like it more once I hear it a few more times.

Heard three interesting releases for the first time today:

Burnt Books' self-titled is some very strange southern punk that isn't quite like anything I've ever heard. Will need to spend more time with it.

New Portal is amazing and I know once I've listened to it 20-30 times it'll be a part of my fucking DNA.

New Woe is way more rockin' than their past output but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Will need more listens.

That's how I felt at first. After a few more listens, I really started to dig "Honor Never Dies", "Own Your World", "The Language" (my favorite), and "Boundless (Time to Murder It)".
