It's not that I don't like it, I just think you're crazy.

15.Nas-Life is Good
Nas just inched out Killer Mike for the number 15 spot. Life is Good is Nas's best record since Stillmatic. Nas gets back to doing what he does best: Telling stories and it's great. It takes a bit of a different direction since Nas is talking more about his daughters and failed marriage with Kelis and less about the streets and his rough upbringing. The album is mostly laid-back with a lot of low-key beats and soulful guest spots from Mary J.Blidge, Anthony Hamilton, and the late Amy Winehouse. These tracks are full of the lyrical bite and confidence that Nas has been exhibited throughout his career, just with different lyrical themes. There is still a few tracks like "The Don" and "Back When" where Nas brings in his hardcore tendencies and it provides a nice contrast to the rest of the records and shows Nas can still spit intense rhymes with the best of them. It's a bit of a change for Nas, but I like the sharp, emotionally charged storyelling hip-hop he explores on this record and I believe it accurately depicts what is going on his life at the moment.

Standout Tracks
1.Stay
2.A Queen's Story
3.The Don

SeattleThrash/Crust Punk/Death/Whatever the fuck you want to call it act Black Breath just cannot be stopped. It's pretty similar to their older stuff, just bigger, badder, and better than before. This record is chock full of amazing thrash riffs, whirlwind energy, great hardcore vocals, and of course, the occasional well-placed guitar solo (The solo on "Obey"). Definitely one of the more exciting and best underground metal bands at the moment.

Standout Tracks
1.Home of the Grave
2.Obey
3.Of Flesh
Funny story about this cd. I made a cd with Converge on it because of all the hype. I had a bunch of space left on the cd and threw Black Breath on just to check it out. Needless to say I liked Black Breath so much it made my Top 10 and Converge while I like it, just didn't grab me the same way.

I'd say making list is about the only OCD tendency I have.

14.God Forbid-Equilibrium
God Forbid is one of the most underrated bands in all of metal in my opinion. They have quietly making great records for about 15 years now and their latest Equilibrium is no exception. This record is their most melodic to date with guitarists Doc Coyle and Matt Wicklund trading off excellent melodic riffs and solos throughout the record. The hooks on this album are also excellent with Coyle doing clean vocals taking over for his brother Dallas, who left the band shortly after they released their last record Earthsblood in 2009. The increased melody on their last two records to compliment the thrash-tinged metalcore side of their sound are what make them their best. Equillibrium is excellent metalcore with no shortage of great riffs, solos, and hooks.

Standout Tracks
1.Equilibrium
2.Move On
3.This is Who I Am

13.Converge-All We Love We Leave Behind
This record seems to be getting way more love than Converge normally gets and gained them a lot of new fans. I mean this with all do respect, but where have you people been for the last decade or so? All We Love We Leave Behind is the latest in a series of knockout punches for Converge. This record spends equal time between moody post-hardcore ("Coral Blue", "Aimless Arrow", the title track), the chaotic mathcore that they have pioneered ("Trespasses", "Tender Abuse", "Vicious Muse" and a combination of the two ("Sadness Comes Home", "Empty on the Inside", "Predatory Glow".) This record is a little bit more accessible and melodic than Converge typically is, but it's still a jarring whirlwind of a record that only Converge create.

Standout Tracks
1.Sadness Comes Home
2.Trespasses
3.Vicious Muse

12.Dying Fetus-Reign Supreme
Dying Fetus has been crushing skulls for a long time, but I think Reign Supreme might be their most brutal and just plain best aural assault to date. Reign Supreme sees Dying Fetus taking the more straightforward, groove-based sound of their early records and brilliantly combining with the more tech-death based sound of their last couple records. This record has all the Dying Fetus staples: crushing riffs, blast beats, and the pig squeals of John Gallagher and the high-pitched growls of Sean Beasley. All of these elements are amped up and hit even harder than usual. Reign Supreme very well could be Dying Fetus's crowning achievement thus far.

Standout Tracks
1.In the Trenches
2.Invert the Idols
3.Revisionist Past
