For real doe, how did a glam metal enthusiast end up here? I don't get it.

I'm not even trying to be mean or condescending, but most of the posters on this site are discussing extreme/underground metal and the ones who aren't are usually talking about traditional/NWOBHM type stuff. I'm not seeing many people post setlists for glam bands save Steel Panther or Crue sometimes. How did we attract somebody whose main musical diet is glam metal and buttrock?

because I thought this was a cool site, not to mention I love power metal, progressive metal, and traditional heavy metal as well.I have found a lot of people that like the bands I like here anyway. Is it such a bad thing that I'm different?

I didn't make a list at the end of 2011, but I can say it would've been radically different than this one since I heard six of these this year.

1. Vastum - Carnal Law (An EP, but too fucking good)
2. Disma - Towards the Megalith
3. Vektor - Outer Isolation
4. Big Chocolate - Hi-Lion (An EP, but really fucking good)
5. Exhumed - All Guts, No Glory
6. The Black Dahlia Murder - Ritual
7. War Master - Pyramid of the Necropolis
8. In Defence - Party Lines and Politics
9. Harms Way - Isolation
10. Cannabis Corpse - Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise
