TOP 10 WORST/MOST DISAPPOINTING BANDS I SAW LIVE IN 2012
10. Anthrax ![]() Kansas City, MO on January 26th Anthrax definitely wasn't bad, they just had to perform under crappy circumstances. This show would've been better suited for a bit smaller venue, and Scott Ian was absent from this show. Although it was really cool to see different guitarists from Testament (Alex Skolnick!!!) and Death Angel come up and help out, I would've liked to see the face of Anthrax during their set. Still made the best of what they got and I'm absolutely 100% sure that if I get to see them on Metal Alliance 3, they'll shred my face off.

Behemoth ![]() Lawrence, KS on April 16th In 2012, I had basically two shows pretty much ruined for me because of crappy sound issues, and this was one of them. The sound was completely muddy all night and it barely got better as time went on. Luckily, several of Behemoth's songs were still as vicious as ever, especially their old-school ones like Moonspell Rites. The first time that I didn't walk away from a Behemoth show absolutely astounded, so I know it was just an off-night.

Hate Eternal ![]() Kansas City, MO on February 29th The other performance pretty ruined by bad sound. But this time, it's all Hate Eternal's fault. They've never really had a great depth to their sound when they only have one guitarist live. They NEED a second guitarist when playing live. It would help out so much. They are so brutal when they're playing, but it's just way too much for just Erik Rutan.

Stolen Babies ![]() Lawrence, KS on September 13th Eh. Just not my thing, I guess. They had a few songs that were pretty good, but I think they should stick to tours with Amanda Palmer or Mindless Self Indulgence or something. The crazy homemade instruments were pretty cool, but I didn't like the music that much. The more I think about it, the more I wish this tour was just Katatonia and Paradise Lost.

God Forbid ![]() Kansas City, MO on April 26th This was supposed to be Aborted and Belphegor opening for Overkill, but instead we got one of the most overrated melodic metalcore bands ever. To make matters worse, the vocalist was sick and had a terrible performance. They definitely gave it their all, but this is like the 5th time I've seen them and I've still yet to like them. Pass.

blessthefall ![]() Bonner Springs, KS on July 9th Just an overall bad band that relies more on gimmicks and fashion to be popular than music. These scenecore bands that have clean autotuned vox with another vocalist doing screams is just stupid. I should have moved to the other side of Warped while they were on stage.

Job For A Cowboy ![]() Lawrence, KS on April 15th No. Shut the fuck up. Every single time I have JFAC on a list like this, some idiot asshole has to come in whining "b-b-but they're DEATH METAL nao!!!!" It doesn't matter. I have seen this band more times live than you have, and they always have a shitty tone/mix at every single venue I've seen them at. They may not be deathcore anymore, but they are now supremely boring atonal death metal. GET OUT.

Sleeping With Sirens ![]() Bonner Springs, KS on July 9th What is this? No really, WHAT IS THIS? It's like someone wanted to be an even less-effective version of Falling In Reverse. This is just...bad. And they had one of the largest crowds on Warped. BarfxCore.

Rings Of Saturn ![]() (I couldn't find a good live picture of the band but this picture of Immolation came up for some reason and I'd much rather see Immolation than stare at a picture of core fags, so I'm using this) Lawrence, KS on May 18th I'm so glad this flash in the pan fad of a band will cease to be in the public consciousness next year. Terrible extreme-wank "technical deathcore" that brings the extreme worst from "technical" and "deathcore" and combines it into terrible shit. I'm surprised Travis Ryan didn't eat this band while they were on tour with him.
