Agreed on Soundgarden. :/
Really looking forward to these lists. Already some great ones in that first list, a few of them in my top 20. Excited to see the top 45!

![]() 43.Frank Ocean-Channel Orange This will definitely catch some people by surprise. R&B normally isn't my bag at all, but Frank Ocean has such a great voice that it's an exception. He has such a wide vocal range and sings with so much power and emotion it's staggering. Tracks like the nine-minute epic "Pyramids", the somber "Bad Religion", sprawling love song "Thinkin Bout You", and the low-key, fun "Super Rich Kids" (with a really uncharacteristic slow yet still awesome verse from Earl Sweatshirt) are all super catchy and beautiful songs. The only reason this isn't higher is because there is a lot of filler that takes away from the standout portions. Ocean is super talented and with more consistency, he could become a truly special artist. Standout Tracks 1.Pyramids 2.Super Rich Kids (feat.Earl Sweatshirt) 3.Thinkin Bout You

![]() 42.Shadows Fall-Fire From the Sky Shadows Fall doesn't reinvent the wheel with this record, but this is still a consistently fun collection of thrashy and catchy metalcore songs. Standout Tracks 1.Save Your Soul 2.Divide and Conquer 3.Nothing Remains

More than likely going to be my only write-up today, Merry Christmas everyone!
![]() 41.Spawn of Possession-Incurso Spawn of Possession returns from a 5-year absence with another slab of pretty killer tech death. Obscura's Christian Munzer shreds as usual on his first studio recordings with the band and is the highlight of the album imo. I can't say I love new vocalist Dennis Rodum, but he's definitely not bad and his style fits the music without any issue. I don't agree with the people that lauded this as a masterpiece, but it's a solid tech death record that will more than please fans of the genre. Side Note: This is one of the sickest album covers of 2012. Standout Tracks 1.Where Angels Go Demons Follow 2.Servitude of Souls 3.Spiritual Deception

I'm glad to see others agree on what a mediocre piece of crap the new Soundgarden is.
