Fuck the haters, at least we finally get a cool festival.

Also, when this was in Atlantic City, wasn't this in some big field within the city itself? I'm not sure where they're gonna have it here. Makes more sense to have it in a field, but I don't know if we have one big enough in the city. Maybe this will be at the Pontiac Silverdome? The possibilities are endless, but I doubt this will be in the city of Detroit.

It was at an out of service airfield, which was fucking perfect and amazing.

Maybe you guys have a big empty factory they could have it in? Or would that be unwieldy given how many there are to choose from?

I'm going to go to this every year no matter where they put it barring something like a horrible lineup and a promise to play St. Anger in its entirety. Knowing that there's thousands of people who think like me about Orion, it's pretty brilliant of Metallica to put this in a city that needs its tourist economy jumpstarted.

I've long held that Metallica is the smartest business of any band. This kinda confirms it.

Not to mention the cities this festival has been in so far have a lot of casinos (Atlantic City is self-explanatory, Detroit has Greektown and others, and one of the biggest casinos in Canada is just a stones throw away in Windsor). I wouldn't be surprised if this festival ends up in Las Vegas down the road.

They've said they want to stay off the West Coast because they want it to be inviting to European fans, but who knows. Your logic makes sense.
