The reason I started a new thread is because SoB are rumored to NOT be the opening band. I also think this tour adds to the rumor that Deftones are on a major US summer tour. They skipped over alot of bigger cities.

Which is exactly where Mayhem will likely skip. I know they are not doing shows in Portland, Cinci & I heard it was likely skipping St. Louis & Atlanta, due to cutting back on dates & focusing on weekend shows. I figure Deftones will hit up the other cities as off dates on Mayhem Fest.

I think you're right actually. The only reason Boston and New York on this tour is because of the make-up dates for Hurricane Sandy on the last tour.

Yeah typical for a band doing a larger tour in the coming year, maybe they actually are doing Mayhem
