I heard that Gangnam Style song over at a friend's apartment a few nights ago for the first time. He showed me some video of it being preformed live, and there looked to be over 100,000 Koreans in attendance all flipping shit.

I immediately began thinking about how different music would be if good music was that popular.

I'm trying to pinpoint what exactly the intention was with Gangam Style. It's clear that the koreans were trying to emulate LMFAO but i'm not sure if it was supposed to be a parody or if it was intended to be a hit song in the US. It seems more like the latter but I like to think it's the former.
