I honestly don't think Black Dahlia is on this again, I really think they are on Mayhem Fest. Bodom is definitely a contender to headline and I can totally see Gojira doing this as well. As for Oceano, Just no. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but Oceano got a tepid crowd response at Summer Slaughter 2011 here (Only them and Six Feet Under got a lukewarm crowd responses). Personally, I really hope they're are not on there. Their live show has gotten remarkably worse and their set at NEMHF last year was absolute torture (Worst sound mix I've ever heard, It sounded like a fucking disturbed beehive.) I fully trust Ash to put together another great lineup for 2013, Summer Slaughter hasn't had a single bad lineup to date imo.

I really wish instead of doing Mayhem or a fest BDM just did another headliner and got great openers with them again.

And Oceano during SS 2011 had a great crowd response with a insane pit. Though that may be due to being a hometown show.

Seriously, the only time BDM hit KC or STL during the Ritual cycle has been the Dethklok tour.

We want headlining sets.

what exactly is summer slaughter band? because refreshing my memory of lineups, it never really stuck to a single style
More extreme less mainstream as far as metal goes.

The best thing about SS 2011 was after Oceano when I was chilling by the bathrooms, my friend came walking by carrying my other friend. He looks at me and says, "I fucked up my leg so bad, but I took out so many of those hardcore dancers. Totally worth it, man."

I would definitely rather see a headlining tour from BDM then a 30 minute set in a parking lot.

Here is the statement from the band:

“We in THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER look forward to seeing you and your friend’s fancy haircuts this summer at the Van’s Warped Tour. I think it’s safe to say that all of us in TBDM have attended this tour at various points and have fond memories of this great American punk rock freak show.
