I've been able to draw a few parallels between Mass Effect and Star Wars, but I'm not to into Star Trek. What are some of the parallels you've noticed?

And out of the COD games I've actually played:

This is all just personal opinions, I personally loved DN 64 more than DN 3d, but DN: Zero Hour will always be the greatest in the series(I really loved the western theme it had going). Lets just see how DN forever stands out once it's released.

I personally liked how you can save the girls rather than either kill them or leave them to suffer.

The alliance is very similar to the 'United Federation of Planets', with inter-galactic multiculturalism being rife, despite feelings between different races never seeming altogether positive. Space exploration with the ships, and most of the 'good' characters being prominent members of the crew. Reaper ships in the third game are revered much like the Borg in Star Trek.

As I say, Mass Effect is a really good mix of both Star Trek and Star Wars, like a perfect middle ground!

The Prothean Empire really reminds me of a mix between the Galactic Empire and the Infinite Empire in Star Wars, the Reapers remind me of the Yuuzhan Vong and biotics just remind me of the force. It's obviously impossible to have any space story without drawing influences from Star Wars and Star Trek. I'm sure they got some of their ideas from somewhere else too.

But they're all so good it's more like:
1.1. Mass Effect 2
1.2. Mass Effect 3
1.3. Mass Effect
