One a related note a guy who posts on my facebook page messages me to say he interviewed a member of Cannibal Corpse and they stated the rumor of them being on Mayhem Fest 2013 is not true and they will not be on it.

And my chances of going drop even further

There is still some possibility that this could have some decent bands on it but my hope is fading. I'm not sure if 5FDP & HellYeah are worth sitting through for Zombie & possibly 20 minute sets from some Nuclear Blast bands.

I don't think he was implying that Cannibal Corpse isn't a decent band. What's lame is that they would play a 30-40 minute set of songs you could have heard on any of their numerous recent tours. Not to mention they would be yet another repeat band.

Lol I wasn't implying that he was implying CC was not a good band. I agree with the rest of your post.

Mayhem Fest will have some repeat bands from time to time but if they let HellYeah play instead of the better Pantera side project Down that is a travesty imo.

So a venue in allentown has a show booked by Sumerian Records for "Headbang to the Highway"(which last year gave locals bands a spot on Sumerian's stage at Mayhem). This year the competition is for a spot on either Summer Slaughter or All Stars.

Seems like this means Sumerian will not be involved like they were last year. Reaaaally hoping for that Nuclear Blast stage if that's the case.

This is a little off topic, but related in some way and I don't want to start another thread regarding a corporatized metal package, but does anyone have any idea on when Ozzfest information might come to pass?
