It's pretty much guaranteed top 10 and I actually think it might have a shot at #1. Think about it, has there been any album this year that most of the board can agree is great? If you look at past #1 winners they're usually albums that the board lost their collective shit over and about half the voters would put it in their top 10. As far as I can see no album released this year has had that kind of momentum. I believe that me and 2 other people have The Money Store at #1 and a few more people have it in their top 10. My point is that it looks like this year the votes are gonna be pretty spread out so those votes for TMS are really gonna count.

Yes. I think all of these will be high in the list: Lamb of God, Converge, Pig Destroyer, Testament, Periphery, Between the Buried and Me. Also, those of you that are into Death Grips may feel that the album is great, but realize that there are not that many of you. Some fans might not consider the new Lamb of God or Pig Destroyer to be great, but they will still receive a lot more votes than Death Grips. I think that will even out the scores.

I don't think Lamb of God will make the top 10. I was the most vocal fan of it and it's only at number 4 on my list. For the board's album of the year, I think it's a race between Rush, Between The Buried and Me, and maybe Testament. This year is definitely going to be the most interesting top 10 because there has been no album to be released this year that everyone was jizzing themselves over.
