Also, this tour furthers my belief that BTBAM are trying to become a prog rock band.

wut?

When has BTBAM never not been a Prog Rock band? every album has Prog in it, yes even the self titled debut.

Wah Coheed and Cambria has taken out metal bands as support before and since Parallax II is their heaviest album since Alaska imo, I can safely say they aren't becoming the next Rush or Porcupine Tree anytime soon.

If you took out of ones the I's in the title, I'd believe, because Hypersleep Dialogues is the heaviest they've been since Alaska. Future Sequence is early their least heavy album. The only song that was really all that much heavy was Telos, but that song sounds like a slightly shorter, more prog version of Disease, Injury, Madness.

I think BTBAM are definitely trying to lean more towards prog rock than prog metal with this album. All the heavy moments on the album seem way too forced and they're aren't as genuine as they were even a year ago.

They've been a progressive metal band, yes. But not a progressive rock band. I think they're trying to lean more towards that now.
