I like the idea of having a band like Exodus on a small side stage. It's gonna get people who havn't really heard them to hear them and people who have to really see them up close in a club style enviorment without the club. It will be good for the band and people going.

Yeah man. In my opinion, there's no point in just putting bands people know on these kind of festivals. Yeah, you gotta have well known bands to sell, but the promoters should want to help out smaller bands that they see potential in. And Mayhem Fest has helped out a few bands, so there's no reason to rule out smaller bands because tons of people don't know 'em.

Sumerian spent a tremendous amount of money to have that dedicated stage this year. I can't see any other label having the budget for something like that.
