Back from the show. I haven't seen them live since the Cryptic Writings tour and forgot just how good this band is. I sorta lost touch with them during all the drama in the mid-2000's. This is first chance in a while I've had to seem do their own show somewhat nearby and not at an overpriced festival.

Due to lack of fundage these days, I couldn't make it out there tonight. How was the crowd? Close to being sold out? Also, how was Kyng? I've been meaning to check them out, just haven't gotten around to it.

The crowd was pretty good. Despite hearing reports of only 600 tickets being sold, the place was near full. They even had the balcony open.

Kyng was....nothing special. They were kinda doom-ish and had a bit of a Pantera vibe going.

Kyng went on at about 8 and played for a half hour or so. Megadeth came out a little after 9 and I didn't check the time after the show but judging by the setlist I'd say they played for about 1:30-1:45

I've got this show in a couple of weeks. I'm excited to hear CTE in it's entirety as it has been a long time favorite.
The rest of the setlist is ok. It will be weird not to hear Wake Up Dead!

whatever political shit he babbled before Holy Wars, he mumbled most of it. something about Secy of State Clinton not having the time to testify about ....?????

i hate it when they mumble.
