Nunslaughter -- Chicago, IL -- November 10th, 2012
The show was at a place called Cafe Lura, which could be mistaken for a haunted house but still a cool place. I'm also pretty sure that every Mexican metalhead from Chicago and any surrounding area was at this show. Seriously, that was a good 75% of the show at the minimum right there. But that's not a bad thing at all, as they sure as shit know how to have a great time!
They had the Chicago metal market, which is exactly as it sounds, tables of CDs, vinyls, patches, and shirts. That's where the rest of my money went for the night. I don't think it's busted out often at shows, last time I remember seeing it was Inquisition last December, and Desaster in 2011 before that. First band was Sauron, a black/thrash band from Michigan who definitely tore it up. Reminded me a lot of Midnight (go figure, the bassist/vocalist had a Midnight backpatch...) The next band was Infernal Conjuration from Tijuana (wanna guess the crowd response for this band?!), and god damn, they were BRUTAL. They play very fast and chaotic death/thrash. All the guys in the band were awesome at what they did. The only problem was that I could barely hear one of the guitarists, but aside from that, they put on one hell of a show. Malas played as well, but I've seen them a couple times since they're from Chicago and are on shows from time to time, so I didn't see them this time. They're good as well, I remember hearing a cover of Circle of the Tyrants. Nunslaughter headlined and put on a crazy good show as always. I love how they speed up their songs when you think they can't possibly go faster. Jim (drummer) did almost all of the stage banter in between songs and he is fucking hilarious. "So I was talking to a priest the other day, and he asked me to confess my sins to him. So I whispered into his ear, I HATE, CHRISTIANS!" I wanna say that this was a one off show for them, and if that's the case, I am incredibly grateful they chose to play Chicago. The place was packed during the entire show and everyone was going nuts for Nunslaughter. Definitely one of the best shows I've been to this year. Church Bizarre Death by the Dead I Hate Christians Obsessed With the Visions Worst Nightmare God Has Lied Killed by the Cross Cerebus Fuck the Bastard She Lives by Night God Satanic Hex Raid the Convent Ouija In the Graveyard Midnight Mass Inverted Churches Satanic Slut Smell the Burning Churches

I have no idea who these people are, I clicked on this thread solely to see if their song titles would match their hilarious name. I wasn't disappointed.
