The Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie

Official trailer

I remember when James first announced that this movie was in the works he said there was a possibility of a theatrical release but after watching the trailer it's pretty clear this will be a straight to dvd thing. Haven't followed James Rolfe much in the past year but i'm looking forward to this.

Good to see he's finally done with it. I'm a huge fan of his videos but the movie just looks okay. He should just stick to doing the videos since he has been slacking off on them to do the movie.

The movie almost reminds me of the movie "Fanboys" except instead of Star Wars its the ET game.

His videos were getting worse and worse every year to the point where they were no longer funny in the slightest. Honestly, I think this movie should serve as a conclusion to AVGN as a whole and James should pursue more serious film making.

He won't though I think he will have to keep making videos to remain relevant. AVGN is all he will ever be known for.

The thing with AVGN that was really losing me the last few years was when he got away from just reviewing the games and got into these "epic" battles or whatever with characters, and started turning his home-made videos into a lot more than they should've been. Those were stupid. Except I remember the one with that little robot being funny. I thought Fanboys was terrible and I can't imagine this being any better.

Hopefully he just goes back to games.

I agree. Like his whole thing with "Oh I'm playing a Bugs Bunny game so I'll review the game for 4 minutes while the guy snickers behind me in the costume then do a 8 minute fight scene." Horrible.

I really liked that video though, the first one at least, but I agree that he really over did the epic battles in the later episodes.

Rob the Robot, that's the little robot I'm thinking about.

The Rob the Robot was terrible. Bugs Bunny was damn funny. The Super Mario Bros. 3 review was the best of the epic battles.

Whichever were the best or not, I can live without them all.
