The tour is real and it's coming to Minnesota in February.

That's all I got.

Please. How can you blame them for wanting to make as much money possible off a tour after being at it for as long as they have?

That said, I'd love to see this tour no matter who the headliner is.

Because refusing to tour unless you're the headliner seems egotistical. It appears they think they're more popular than they actually are.

Testament is definitely more popular, and so is Exodus. Overkill is on par with Death Angel in popularity.

With that said, I love Overkill & Testament, so I want to see this tour, and pretty badly too.

Not to me. For a band like Overkill, if they want to turn a tour down because they're not the headliner, all the power to them. They've only been doing this for 30 years or so. As far as who's more popular, yeah Testament is for sure (not buying Exodus though) but if a band doesn't want to be on a tour, take somebody else. Overkill will do their own tour instead and make the money they want to make.

Of the old school thrash bands still playing that are somewhat relevant, here is the order of their popularity:

Metallica
Megadeth/Slayer (a tie, Slayer is maybe more popular now, but back when the bands sold a boatload of records Megadeth was all over MTV, radio... its about even imo)
Anthrax
Testament (Not as popular as Anthrax, but easily more popular than the others beneath them)
Exodus (More popular than Overkill due to more exposure on Headbangers Ball back in the days and Holt recently playing with Slayer has had to give them several new fans)
Overkill (Overkill has become as popular as ever due to their last few albums being critically acclaimed in the press and That Metal Show).
Death Angel

I haven't been to Beaumont or Riot, so I declare ignorance.
