John Reese said there was only about 25 bands that could headline Mayhem Fest. Problem is only about half of those bands are interested or are willing to drop the $ in exchange for a bit more exposure that Mayhem Fest brings.

Updated the first post. I am hearing that Miss May I is likely to play, joining Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse & Chelsea Grin as the most heavily rumored bands to play at this time.

Wait, so Rockstar wants you to headline a tour, but pay to get on it?

Not pay but drop the price of your usual $ amount. I know on Ozzfest smaller bands had to pay to play. Even Sevendust, as a small stage headliner, had to back out of Mayhem Fest due not making their normal amount.

I thought I heard that Crazytown had to pay to play Ozzfest back in '00 & '01. Lol those were the days...
