I would gladly take both of them over Madonna, who has been in there for at least 5 years.

I get that point, but still its rock n roll. No matter how amazing PE and NWA are, they are still just Hip Hop.

I think it's kind of sad you have to vote for this. Both Deep Purple and Rush should be inducted no questions asked.

Edit: Just voted and Rush and Deep Purple are currently the top nominees, with 29.28% and 16.36% of the votes respectively.

So this is just the nomination process. And all of the fan voting counts as one ballot out of over 600... cool.

voted Deep Purple, Rush, Heart, Joan Jett and...Public Enemy. They transcended just hip-hop back in the day.

The Hall hasn't been about purely rock music for decades. Keep up.

Yes, because they've never inducted any rock artists before. It's not like Alice Cooper and Guns N Roes didn't get in recently

Out of the list Rush, Deep Purple and Heart are the most deserving. All three should've have been inducted a long time ago.

Same ones I voted for too. I added NWA as well. You could argue they did even more for hip hop than PE. I love both so I voted for both.
