I might go see his replacement though.

Thanks for the fix.
Ravenheart, if you've been to Mayhem Fest you've seen his replacement. Its just Sid from Slipknot doing his DJ set. I think the tour is really missing out by not having another actual band open. |

That's really the replacement. That's even worse than J Devil.

Why the fuck do these people try and do DJ sets now? Attempting to be relevant because they're realizing they can't ride the nu-metal backwash forever, money, genuine stupidity...?

Sid from Slipknot doesn't do anything. At Mayhem all he was doing was scratching over songs.

Exactly. I don't see the point of even having an opening act if they don't really do anything. At least Mayhem Fest used him as an opportunity to keep people entertained in between bands, but I'm not sure his act can work for, say, a half hour.
Also, if anyone is planning on going tomorrow, would they mind live tweeting the sets? I'm really interested in what Manson is going to play. He made it sound like they were breaking out a bunch of old stuff. I also wanna see if Ginger and John 5 will play a few songs with him, as it sounds like it isn't entirely out of the question. Sid's been doing DJ stuff as DJ Starscream as long as if not longer than he's been doing Slipknot.

How would I have been to Mayhem? But yeah, I know who the replacement is. Pretty sure he'll be better than Jonathan Davis. Would still rather a proper band played. It's not like Europe is lacking in suitable openers for Zombie/Manson.

Ha, didn't see you were from England. I agree Sid is better than J-Devil, but I can name five bands off the top of my head who would make more sense as an opener.
