I'll be seeing Godspeed but not Mono.

It's the only choice I can make. But damn I would love to see Mono.

Nah, but he's probably the only teacher at my school I'm close enough with to consider an adult friend (you know, someone who I wouldn't feel awkward about hanging out with outside of school). He likes a lot of the same electronic music Ben does, as well as some post-rock like Sigur Ros, Mono, Explosions in the Sky, and Mogwai. He used to be a casual metal fan back in high school; he's shown me his first edition copies of Master of Puppets (got it for free when it was included in an issue of Thrasher) and the Black Album.

I saw Godspeed last year front row center in Vancouver and it was just OK. The band was tight and everything, I dont know why but I just felt dissapointed the entire show. Sigur Ros will always be the best Post Rock band ive witnessed live. If you guy's get the chance to see them, you will be breathless after they walk off stage.

Post- Valtari I wouldn't be so sure, unless you've seen them recently? We all have it on good authority that in 2008 or before Sigur Ros was THE post-rock band to see live.

I saw Sigur Ros at like 1am at Bonnaroo in 2008. If that year/era is considered them at the top of their game, then i agree. I almost cried at certain points in their show, that's how beautiful it was. epic performance.
