See I never once look at the lineup and go OMG WOWOWOWOWOW. I look at it and I'm like well the side stage bands have toured alot this year and their all at least decent, and the main stage usually has a few cool things on.

It is overhyped but with how its run it has to be overhyped to sell alot.

ok since other people have guessed here's a stab(not counting Sumerian because who knows if that'll happen again)

considering the tour has sold better the past two years despite what people say online this is pretty much the direction it's going

Rammstein was just confirmed for Wacken 2013. Depending on the dates for Mayhem 2013, this very likely kills any chance of Rammstein headlining in 2013. I don't see Mayhem Fest signing a headlining band that will miss the last 4-5 dates of the tour.

Yep. They (and everyone else) needs to let that delusion go.

Not sure who will headline but I'm hoping for (Not saying it will happen) a BlackDiamondSkye Mayhem Fest. Would love to see AiC, Deftones headline with Mastodon thrown in the mix too.
