I have high hopes they can make a great record again with this. Agree with Adam that Blood Oath was not their strongest release.

The song Blood Oath is fucking incredible, but the rest of the album was very meh.

I loved Blood Oath.... Dismal Dream is my favorite Suffo track. That being said I would like to hear a come back of that old school sound that Effigy had.

AGreed. DIsmal Dream was ok too IMO, but the rest was worse than meh I think. I thought it sucked.

I've been saying that since I got into the band. The vocals on the last few albums are just nowhere near as good as on Effigy. Songs from Blood Oath, s/t and Souls to Deny are so much better live than on record because he sings them with the old-school gruff vocals. I wish the new album went back to that style but I strongly doubt it. I probably would've liked Blood Oath or any of the last three albums much better if he used the old-school vocals because musically they're all still top-notch.
